alas no one does believe

It is the never ending beat
the constant tune sings on
the song my life performs to me
my bodily jargon

I tell them I'm composing
while even in my sleep
the beats that fill my body
resonate far within me

No one will believe me
they say that I'm a fool
that no one can compose a piece
while on their pillow they drool

Alas I find myself alone,
in a world that doesn't believe
that percussion lies within everyone
that it is our own heart beats

tis true that we're musicians
that life is our own heart's song
but it is you who chooses to see the light
that music brings upon

Poem of the Day

poet Christopher Marlowe

Black is the beauty of the brightest day,
The golden belle of heaven's eternal fire,
