Thomas Conner

Alive - Poem by Thomas Conner

I’m sorry you met me because I didn’t die
I’m sorry for surviving those accidents that I should have died from
I’m sorry that that glass vast didn’t kill me when I was a kid
I’m sorry that I’m breathing in this world and not the next
I’m sorry for being alive
I’m sorry for living
