her bud-luscious apple tree;
she ushers you in
with her awful grin,

The sun gleamed;
the truck lurched along,
sand churning under
weight of wheels;

It wraps about the house and clings
Like a wall of wasps with a thousand stings.
Enough to drive you mad,
Or, in sadness, to the drink;

They step aboard the royal navy boats,
as eager as children waiting to see,
with widened gait growing all-gallopy;
they gallantly march toward others’ throats.
