Cobblestones And A Horse - Poem by Paola Degli Esposti

Leather and stone,
it is a strong image I have.
That place seems home to me,
it reminds me to ancient times.
A laugh in the road,
it is joy and assurance in my heart,
the peak and the shore,
far is the rumour,
I want to go there.
The noise made by a worker
of the iron,
cobblestones and a horse.
The future is in my mind and in my hands.
A run through
the green,
free is the spirit,
she is the marvellous creature,
she is the best of my mates
in my path of life.
She is my girl,
comfort to the soul,
delight of the body,
that seems home to me.
And glad i feel,
here
that seems home to me,
now.
