Treasure Island

Death is only just a release
from the pain and insanity of living

Death is the warm embrace
of the cold life that we all must live

Death is everywhere
it awaits us with an open embrace
which is full of peace and grace

Death may seem bad at first
but don't fear it
it's but the final journey in life
that we all must take

some people fight it
well others welcome it

Death is a mystery to all yet
to some it is the key to all

Death is the mystery humans
can't seem to figure out

Death is but one
step in the cycle of life
that we all must take

Death is only just a release
from the pain and insanity of living

Poem of the Day

poet Henry David Thoreau

My books I'd fain cast off, I cannot read,
'Twixt every page my thoughts go stray at large
Down in the meadow, where is richer feed,
And will not mind to hit their proper targe.
