Allen Brodell

Fear not

One morning......

His life is turned into darkness
he feels God is out of reach
he starts to feel lonely
as the hours pass by
hours turns into days
days turns into weeks

Old wounds are ripped open
he does not feel himself
Satan drags him away
from God and the light of Jesus
hopelessness is his new master

Weeks later......

He cries out to God
to help him to find the way back
to the light of God and Jesus

God's Love and Mercy
is with him once more
he feels the unconditional
love of God
God takes away
the lonely feelings
God heals the wounds
the old wounds of the past

God commands the enemy away
God assures him
that all will be well
he then realizes
that he has nothing
to fear or to be afraid of

Poem of the Day

poet Wilfred Owen

All sounds have been as music to my listening:
Pacific lamentations of slow bells,
The crunch of boots on blue snow rosy-glistening,
Shuffle of autumn leaves; and all farewells:
