Megan Harris (November 2,1986 / Youngstown, OH)
Fortune-Teller falls in Love
These many cards point to
The graying skies telling me I know too much
One day I will end up above you
Floating or flying, heading somewhere
Or nowhere
It doesn't really matter.
I already know where we're all going
So you can trace those lines on my hand
Tell me the things you know -
I want to hear.
But you don't know very much
Or me very well, at all.
My life line is broken -
Which means I will start a new life
Halfway through -
Then trail off - invisible to the world.
Also, I know your secrets
I know what skin your tongue will taste
What sounds your mouth will make
I desire to know no more.
Because in the kissing of lips
In the touch of a hand
I can see entire relationships
Beginning, Middle, and End.
It ruins the fun, the feeling, the love.
I want to be ignorant of what I'm capable of
Longing to have never realized
Longing to have never tried
I remain in this state -
Doing things I know are ending before they start
Being upset when I can't prove myself false.
