Hatred

Hatred
An ill feeling
Consumes oneself
Dwells within inner self
The bottle explodes
We all hark on something or someone

Hatred
I hated your snide comments against me
I hated how you continuously disrespect me
I hated how you never communicated with my family
I hated the fact you never Yum Cha with me or with my family
I hated how you never have an interest in the Chinese culture or learn Cantonese
I hated you for assaulting me

Hatred
I hated your continuous lies over the years
I hated you for abandoning me while you freely roam in Tokyo
I hated your insults against me
I hated how you terribly failed to ameliorate
I hated how you exceedingly made our relationship deteriorate
I hated your dangerous, violent ill temper

Hatred
I hated myself for believing in us
I hated myself for putting a roof over your head
I hated myself for going the extra mile of 110%
I hated myself for wasting ten years with you

Hatred
Yet I turn the hatred to love
I love you for severing ties
Acceptance is the first step to a new chapter
Resolved to closure
I let go

poet Richard Lovelace

Tell me not (Sweet) I am unkind,
That from the nunnery
Of thy chaste breast and quiet mind
To war and arms I fly.

True, a new mistress now I chase,
