A Dream Within A Dream
Edgar Allan Poe

i love this poem..very touching, i read it over and over that i know it by heart now..
I just watched the movie also In Her Shoes...as Debra had heard it there, so did I. If Edward Cummings were alive..Is thank him, and he would know how many peoples lives it continues to touch. I'm passing it on to a friend I had to leave because of his addictions. The poem reminds me of him and it breaks my heart because I carry his heart with me.
Very deep and touching...
Hope to get more excellent poems from you in the future!
I first heard this poem while watching In Her Shoes' and immediately bought another copy of the movie and sent it to my sister who was living in Calfornia, (I live in Louisiana) . My sister had been battling with cancer for many years and this poem expressed my love for her just beautifully and it was my birthday present to her. I went to move her last November to her daughter's home in Texas & we watched the movie together, she loved the poem. She & her daughter & son-in-law came to my home for Christmas & she passed away on Christmas Eve in her sleep. I had a friend read the poem at her funeral. It still brings tears to my eyes when I read it. It holds such beauty in every line.
I love the poem...it is very touching and I read it over and over again....a good poem
This poem is powerful. I heard it on ER and was moved to tears. I am getting married in October and this poem captures my feelings for the man I am marrying.
This poem is very endearing; though not my favorite by E.E. Cummings.
This poem rocks, my fiance and i are using it in our wedding: D
