Le Soleil - Poem by Maurice Rollinat

Le Soleil, ami du serpent
Et couveur de la pourriture,
Est le brasier que la Nature
Tous les jours allume et suspend.

Le malade, clopin-clopant,
Va chercher, quand il s’aventure,
Le Soleil ami du serpent
Et couveur de la pourriture.

L’enveloppé, l’enveloppant,
Tout subit sa grande friture ;
Et jusque dans la sépulture,
Il s’inocule et se répand,
Le Soleil, ami du serpent.
