Viens, mon bébé chéri ! viens vite, je t'attends
Là, sur mon cœur qui bat ; et pardonne si j'ose,
Réchauffant mon automne auprès de ton printemps,
Pencher mon front ridé sur ta frimousse rose.

S'ils veulent effleurer ta lèvre demi-close,
Ne repousse pas trop mes baisers tremblotants ;
Et, tandis que ta tête entre mes bras repose,
Laisse un peu tes trois mois rire à mes soixante ans !

Des souhaits de bonheur c'est la fête, mignonne ;
Partout l'ivresse chante et la gaîté rayonne ;
À la ronde on s'embrasse en un joyeux élan ;

Et, tout vieux que je suis, je sens à ma prunelle
Perler un pleur d'amour, quand ma main paternelle
Se lève pour bénir ton premier jour de l'An !
