My Sister and I

Annoying my sister daily is fun
She complains about my strange behavior
Facial expressions seen in many ways
Although she will be my one true savior

Our love is like a permanent marker
Permanence will not ever be erased
Her presence in my life is a sparkler
The love she gives can never be replaced

My happiness enlightens her long days
While her wittiness never dares to fail
Though she still has her many debts to pay
She fills it in with love and never bails

My sense of humor amuses me so
Our candor relationship goes with flow

Poem of the Day

poet Charles Stuart Calverley

He stood, a worn-out City clerk —
Who'd toil'd, and seen no holiday,
