One Right Once Left - Poem by Charles Hice

One right once left
one right once left
still free a signal at the branch eye found one open for romance
it was a wonderful terrible walk over here to the Lower Ninthe Ward area
the new shoes are nikes it always helps to have new socks there was a wino asleep on the stoop eye dee is missing him there is still the same webpage eye got it at the main lieberry and the other branch the latter and now the MLK thank God for Martin Luther King and people like the Latters they donated the branch lieberry in the sons namme you see its the big easy New Orleans they told me he died in World War Two and it is in his memory eye have a wifi chair to sit in there and tell all of this to you in an air conditioned place in the Martin Luther King Jr branch eye found a power chord like the romans use a one prong plugg made to fit my Asus is charging upp the battery as eye pen this ode to wisdom teeth not hurting much on time was only 20 minutes late early out this is the only branch that stays open on frYday now eye stopped for grits and eggs at the Sainted Church just off Canal the walk was worth the wait to be here now
there was a man so dirty his shirt his britches so ugly were his shoes
he told me to drink more water to feel better on my hike the wino on the porch was fast asleep in shoes that broke my heart just beside him on the porch was a brand new pair and a shirt must have been left but he was still passed out iff you snooze you lose the drift wood was crossed over the pipe sticking out into the canal as eye walked across the bridge on the walkway on rampart street starts on canal street then becomes Saint Claude and it was on that street that eye crossed without a fairy the wings of the green dragonfly told me it was lambes spy he came to get my ok and eye told the thing to tell her eye am fine eye love to see her spy one right once left
