Your grammar is perfect for the purpose intended and the poem is suburb. You catch the mood of poets all through the ages. Someday they will recognize. It took a hundred years for Emily Dickenson to be recognized. Adeline

It looks as though some of the readers here didn't understand this piece or its intentions, which is a little disappointing. I think most poets feel this way at one time or another, often wondering why they bother when very few people appreciate or understand what the words are meant to convey. Not many readers want to look beyond the lines of the greeting card, sadly, and only relate to colloquialisms and rhyme. This artform is not dead, rest assured. I thought this was slick and bluesy.
