Treasure Island

Kailie Peterson

'The only person I truely cared for left me with a broken heart'

'When I first met you I thought 'What a fool'
When I started to know you I began to find you cool
When we became closer I started to care
When we became lovers I couldn't imagine life without you here
When we broke up you broke my heart
When we tried again I saw it as a new start
When you broke my heart for the second time
I realized you never were mine
And now I'm just lying here
Trying to heal my broken heart and stop my tears'

'As we grow up, we learn that even the one person that wan't supposed to ever let you down probably will. You will have your heart broken probably more than once and it's harder every time. You'll break hearts too, so remember how it felt when yours was broken. You'll fight with your best friend. You'll blame a new love for things and old one did. You'll cry because time is passing too fast, and you'll eventually lose someone you love. So take too many pictures, laugh too much, and love like you've never been hurt because every sixty seconds you spend upset, is a minute of happiness you'll never get back.'

'It's sad when people you know become people you knew.
When you can walk right past someone like they were never a big part of your life.
How you used to be able to talk for hours, and now, you can barely even look at them...'

'It's funny how someone can break your heart and you still love them with all the little pieces'

'And she wonders which part of her isn't quite good enough...'

'A broken heart will always hurt, it's the memories that kill you'

'I'm not supposed to love you.
I'm not supposed to care.
I'm not supposed to live my life,
Wishing you were there.
I'm not supposed to wonder
Where you are or what you do.
I'm sorry I can't help it
'Cause I'm in love with you.'

'Have you ever noticed that the worst way to miss someone is when they're right beside you and yet, you can't have them? '

'Love is when you don't want to go to bed, because reality is better than a dream'

Poem of the Day

poet Henry David Thoreau

My books I'd fain cast off, I cannot read,
'Twixt every page my thoughts go stray at large
Down in the meadow, where is richer feed,
And will not mind to hit their proper targe.
