REJECTION

Just like a nasty nasal infection

Nothing hurts more, than the feeling of rejection

I carry the pain around with me all day

The pain never seems to go away

I mope around with a broken heart

Someone took it and ripped it apart

I hate it when a relationship ends

Especially when they say “we can still be friends”

He said not to worry, everything will be fine

He can stick his sympathy where the sun don’t shine

I don’t need his sympathy, I need his love

And all he did was give our relationship the shove

I want to bury my head in the sand

I’m still confused and don’t understand

I have wasted four years of my life

This time next year I was supposed to be his wife

Maybe he has gone and found another

I should have listened to my mother

She said one day, he would hurt me

But I wouldn’t listen, I was too blind to see

I hate feeling rejected, hate feeling like this

Especially when I remember our last kiss

Memories as dark and black as tar

Memories that cut so deep and leave a scar

Will this pain ever end?

Please give me advice, my reader…my friend x
