Rising From The Ashes

I've just been hangin
in the shadows
watching the world
as it turns
shying away from the bright lights
stayin cool while
avoiding the burns
then suddenly
there you were
the fears are all
but gone
ready to rise
from the ashes
ready for another burn
rising from the ashes
before the smoke has even cleared
washing away the memories
like they were never even here
smoke another glass of haze
freak another cigarette
sleep till you can't remember
everything you can't forget
none of this makes sense to you
I'm really sure of this
someday you may understand
till then I can only wish
that you will rise from the ashes
before the smoke has even cleared

stop livin in the shadows
get out into the sun
put away the games you play
before you think it
it is done
rising from the ashes

the view is so amazing
