She the Unusual Lover

She wants me empty and alone
Covered in dirt
She wants to own
My hunger and more
She wants me useless and confused
Sick and awaiting remedy
She wants to own
My hands and eyes
She wants me all
But wasn’t taught to say love
Wasn’t shown or demonstrated
She wants just love and a companion
But I won’t be treated like a whore
I won’t give in to her torture
She has to learn and I have to leave

I AM not One who much or oft delight
To season my fireside with personal talk.--
Of friends, who live within an easy walk,
Or neighbours, daily, weekly, in my sight:
