Skies On Fire

Skies on Fire
Streams are Smokey
My Eyes are Cloudy
With tears of

No one cares,
Everyone lies,
My body ekes,
My heart is empty,
I’m alone in the world.

You broke my heart into
many tiny pieces.
No one could ever love
me, quite the way you do.
I loved you with all my soul.

You said that we would last forever.
You said that we would be together forever.
You had to leave to serve the country.
I now you do you duty,
for our family and our lives.

You were my life,
My soul, my everything.
Everyone calls you a hero,
I just want to call you mine.

You’re not dress up for success,
From your head down to your boots.
You do you duty with honor and courage.
You are a Hero to many people, but
To me you’re my life.

The day you told me
that you were called to duty,
was the day my heart ripped,
into pieces, with you
taking the pieces them to war.

The day you left to war,
Was the day my heart split apart.
You took half of my heart with you to war,
While the other half in dying inside me.

My Heart is heavy with much sadness.
I can’t think strait with my heart
Feeling so heavy with sorrow.

You broke my heart.
No one can fix it.
Only you have the power,
To fix my broken heart.

War felt like forever.
It seamed like you were gone for years.
You felt the hurt in my heart, and
Had to come home.
You lost a leg just for me.
I felt so guilty and sad,
But was happy to have
you home safely in
my arms once again.

Now that you are Home, I can see though
My cloudy eyes once more.
