Tears For The Rainbow - Poem by michael warburton

The sweet rain of Summer falls anew
melting Winter's ice cold heart
the breath of warm air gently awakens
the living corpse that was my due

The deathwatch beetle creeps into my soul
vanquishing hope to the corridors of the past
a shaft of light in the unhallowed gloom
is drowned by murderous billowing clouds.
