Plague Rose

The end is near my friend and foe
Gaining rapidly upon you and me
And who you say is the cause of this hurt and woe?
Why none other than the beast Technology!

He will tempt us with opportunities and such
And make us feel as if we can save this world from evil
But brings lies and crime as we continue to push our luck
Not knowing that Technology himself is the devil

So go ahead, text and tweet your way to hell
While such things I will go out of my way to shun
And as you're all hypnotized by his evil spell
He plans to obliterate us one by one

I see not what makes him so attractive
But it's enough to trick you into doing what he wants
And while some will do the smart thing and stay active
A fine number will disagree with nonchalance

So when Technology tempts you so
Remember God's word and look to the sky
The sun will shine wherever you go
And be there for you when Technology dies
