The Dissolution Of Existence - Poem by Jim Davidson

A moment of panic
Unable to breathe
Eyes darting
Towards everywhere
Towards everything
A heavy weight on the chest
A black veil
Falling
Fading in
Reality dissolving
Replaced by points of light
First a few
Then many
All the while
A whirring pitch in the ears
Growing louder
Then Darkness
Quiet
Solitude
Peace
Nothing
