Plague Rose

The Mask Of Indifference
Quiet, safety
These are the words
The illusion
Silently crumbling
As the mask of indifference
Falls to the floor
Like a dull star
That dies unnoticed
And the extroverted nymph
That once hid behind
Shows herself
After all these years
This is the dream
The reality
Behind every cloud
Of twilight rain
A shining sun
Is hidden
By the fear of shame
Joy, belonging
These are the words
The truth
It's just taken me a while
To figure it out
