Forgive yourself because the pain isn't
Worth the time you lost
Take responsibility for the life that you lead

you were my prince.
my knight in shinning armor.
i believed in you.

We have come so far.
And our hearts have grown so far apart.
When old friends become new enemies.
When best friends become lovers.

Upon waking up from my deep slumber
I did still falter
Recollections of my bi-polar tendencies
Flower petal picking whimsy

Walking up this mountain
Did many years pass?

As time dripped away like the river

Everyone is fighting for a voice
In this digital age of mass consumption
Attempting to spark flames of the embers that remain
Spirit and body no longer connected

To: My dear soul
Time has not wasted the many
Minutes in the day
Teaching me of the endless ticking away of the clock's hands

To love
And yet to not be understood
Such distance in closeness
Such warmth in cold resentment

when you choked on your breath.
