The Promise Of Love

Love lives within you
Serenades you to her tune
Conversations in fluidity
Kisses in multitudity
Caresses in spontaneous flow
Visage in a constant glow
Coffee and Cake on Saturday evenings
Breakfast at the Deli on Sunday mornings
Down to the coast for some respite for the restless
The glory of love for the emancipated, the chainless
She storms to my fortes and flaws
She marks her terrain with her pacifying claws
You're my strength and weakness and all my marshmallow
Tender, succulent and full of flavors halo
She has awakened the chambers of my heart
She has lighted the eternal bonfires within my hearth
Infernos of desire mere chapters of history
She will unravel to me in surprises and the occasional mystery
She is omniscient of me
I live in the perfection I see
No shrouded mysteries but the feeling of ebullience
Infecting the heart in her unblemished radiance
An empyrean love that providence bestowed
Late but perfectly timed for my life's hold
Now I see the explosion of light at the end of the tunnel
God's providence for a union in life's unexpected funnel
This is how I see love if it ever knocks at my door
Oh God spring love to me, unlock my heart's store

Poem of the Day

poet Robert Frost

Some say the world will end in fire,
Some say in ice.
From what I've tasted of desire
I hold with those who favor fire.
But if it had to perish twice,
