To The Core

You are the leaves, the daisy chain,
Wet flowers in the lazy rain—
You soak up love forevermore,
As cloudlets from the heavens pour.

You wreathe my heart in dancing flames,
Circling, spinning, playing games—
You are the one that I adore,
The sun that strikes my icy shore.

Such pleasures in our souls remain,
The treasures of this strange domain—
Then like the fires from before,
Your love consumes me to the core.
