I thirstily drink the poison
Like a vampire drinks blood
With just enough purpose in mind

Twiddling my chopsticks
Unsure what to do
Glancing around
Others look nervous too

I have climbed mountains
with you
Picked flowers from
your garden
Floated for hours
...

Twenty five minutes more
And your arms will be around me
We have waited so long
Your face I ache to see
...

Time stood still, a cliche I know
But for a few short hours
Time did stand still
...

With every doubt
That plagues my mind
I look deep in my heart
And I sometimes find
...

Can you hear it
The rapid beating
Can you feel it
The sweet anticipation
