Rene BalugTinquilan Poems

There's nothing more splendid to see
Than to a rose growing happily
In the garden of beauties he stay
And live his life without misery
...

Wealth and power are men’s desire
But they don’t know it’s useless when they die
Earth is at risk; well, they don’t care!
As long as they can protect their share.
...

Water doesn't stop flowing
Even in uncertainty where there's nothing.
And nobody to him is directing,
Amidst of these, he's still aiming.
...

Immeasurable love you manifest
Through lending us your precious breast
Even though society sees you least
But for us, you're the best
...

Strength from within, power innate
Humbly arise from void of infinite
To a purpose the reason he sent
To show light to wicked who the justice bent

The Bent Rose

There's nothing more splendid to see
Than to a rose growing happily
In the garden of beauties he stay
And live his life without misery

But the wind blows fiercely the next day
His stem has bent, to the ground he lay
He lost his beauty, he lost his gay
To help him stand, nobody will say

He weep every night and every day
And curse who made him suffer this way
He question who give him destiny
Thinking to end his life easily

Next day, he felt the heat of the sun
As if someone embraced him with warm
Hope has come, sadness from him has gone
Thanking the sun for the helping hand

He remember his roots are still there
And few green leaves to the eyes so dear
The stem still endure the pain it bear
Even though the bent break it so near

He tried to stand and look up with pride
That from great misery he survived
'Coz he know now the beauty of life
As long as God never leave his side
