The Best Poem Of RIYA SHAH

A Change! ! ! !

In the eve of a day
I walked through a way
sandwiched by buildings
made of mud, embodied with stones.
Amid, in a corner i saw a girl
brown hair, shabbily dressed
eager phase and curious eyes
starring on a paper in her hands
moving through words
I saw a glare in her eyes
Being amazed I walked to her
and kneel down to reach her
Feeling some ones presence
agog with excitement!
uplifting her eyes to me, grinned
without any of my words
she murmured to me
her desire to go to school
her complaints for not letting her to letters
her wishes to step into cosmos of wisdom.
I took the page from her
my eyes got dazed at
the bold letters
its nothing more than slums education
seeing that i become helpless, isolated
not for her but for me
i got a myriad choice
multitudinous chances and
still am a zero! ! a BIG ZERO! ! !
This is not the life she picked
this is what she gifted with
But this is the way i choose
and this is what i am now
Born into a world of letters
blessed with wonderful parents
I still face a question mark? ? ?
What i am? ? Whats the purpose of my life? ? ?
Being negligent of all
I walked through this path
a lot....but till now
still the day....today
I met her.
My approach, my vision
everything gets into a wheel
entirely changed.
Today at this moment
in spite of everything
i see myself, i analyse my talents
i can be a change, but
i cant be a change to the whole world
i can be a change to her world
May be this is what i am build for
To let her walk into, let her taste into
a sea of letters.
Today i have a vision
a vision for my life....
