O life! These are my parting words to thee,
From Lord, my call has arrived to me;
At the dawn I opened my eyes in your arms with might and main,
By the dusk I felt O life! You are a storm, strife, a sob and a pain.
...
Last night I cried and cried
For the sight of yours; I searched you
In every nook and corner but did not find you.
At last I slept in vain and agony;
...
Love finds its way in the woods of sufferings,
It is the heart of a prayer not the materialistic offerings;
It is a child, for a mother, and for a saint; his worship,
Your heart is the giant Ocean and mine is the little Ship
...
I still remember those days,
You loved me in different ways.
Together we crossed oceans and hills
And danced as tossing of daffodils,
...
Good Bye
O life! These are my parting words to thee,
From Lord, my call has arrived to me;
At the dawn I opened my eyes in your arms with might and main,
By the dusk I felt O life! You are a storm, strife, a sob and a pain.
I am old now; I'll leave you as a dry withered leaf from tree,
O Death! I'll fall in thy arms to embrace thee and be free.
We shall meet as the King meets his queen,
So that Life's tree always remains green.
