Heart is like a vast ocean
Depth never fathomed
It exhilarates in ecstasy
And weeps when wrecked
...
I was lost in my world of reflections
It was nothing but my own repressions

Belonging to a small town in Kerala, I got Masters in English language in 1984 and got married the same year to Muthukrishnan. I spent the rest of the years bringing up my two sons: Koushik and Goutham. We are living in Tirunelveli, Tamil Nadu, for the past 24 years. I am 'basically a successful homemaker'. Now that my sons are self-sufficient I am left with plenty of time to be utilised in a fruitful way. So naturally I turned to freelance writing which is my hobby and dream. At 46 years 'young' I finds life is smooth-sailing, 'as nothing is as great as being everything to your family and dear ones'.)
Heart Needs Love
Heart is like a vast ocean
Depth never fathomed
It exhilarates in ecstasy
And weeps when wrecked
It blooms when in love
Enriched by sweet nothings
Floats in a fantasy world
With wings unbridled
It never whispers “enough”
Nor limits its offerings
When love is there in reign
Nothing matters whatsoever
It is a garden of lovely thoughts
Let not the worms of hatred creep in
Keep it watered and nurtured
With the boundless flow of love
What we need is men of hearts
To keep this world in peace
To anchor this ship of life
Until it sails safe to the shores
