If I had the opportunity, I'd ask for two more sugars. I'd pretend to smile and laugh at your uptown musings. I would pucker my pout, tinsel my cheekbones, giggle like Hollywood and fill in my brows.
Believe that I am beautiful. Because you always tell me I am beautiful.
I would decorate my anklebones, feel the sand crunch beneath our toes as we walk through the solitaire- and all the memories we now share. And I would tell you 'I have never met someone as crazy as you'. Your face would crease, you'd clothe a cry; pretending there was dust in your sunken eyes.

Then you would tell me you love me, and beg to me please don't go. Because we still have two tickets, to visit the local show.
And I wouldn't leave, because I'd be wiser. The believer you'd never known. And yes, I wouldn't want to miss, that boring annual show.
And yes, I would be a little stronger, and I guess a little more blind. To love you a little better,
and never leave you behind.
