I hear your angelic voice whisper in my ear as we walk along our “Path to Salvation…” The same path on which I now call our “Path to Condemnation; ” for without you there is only blackened roses in the wind…

As I try to capture the blackened roses in a frantic effort to perhaps profess my love to you one last time, I discover in my denial that they are stained with my blood; and are in “this life” forbidden to be mine.
I swear that I wake up to the sound of your tears upon my chest calling my name, and no one dares ask why in the night it is your name I scream to escape these chains…

Path To Condemnation

I hear your angelic voice whisper in my ear as we walk along our “Path to Salvation…” The same path on which I now call our “Path to Condemnation; ” for without you there is only blackened roses in the wind…

As I try to capture the blackened roses in a frantic effort to perhaps profess my love to you one last time, I discover in my denial that they are stained with my blood; and are in “this life” forbidden to be mine.
I swear that I wake up to the sound of your tears upon my chest calling my name, and no one dares ask why in the night it is your name I scream to escape these chains…

I tried using band aids on the wounds I wield, yet they are merely but a “quick fix; ” and the wounds become infected once more insensitive to my tricks…
My mother says” that wounds need fresh air; “and so I find myself here once again meeting you my breath on our “Path to Condemnation” searching your blackened roses for a cure….
