Indigo Girls

One of my favorite songs. One of my favorite poems. I had the opportunity to meet Amy Ray, purely by accident, when I was working at Starbucks in Oxford, Alabama. She was driving through and stopped in for a tall soy chai latte. I got up the guts to ask if she was, well, Amy Ray. I told her I used to go see her all the time in Atlanta. And she said they were still doing it. I've quoted this song in story of mine. Indie music lore has it that she wrote it about the night her cat got run over by a car. I didn't have the guts to ask her about that.
