True Love Waits

How can I hold on any longer
Where you’re the one who’s keeping me together
They say that true love waits
But to me you’re the one that knows
The one that wipes away my tears
And understands but hides me from my fears
You comfort me when the time is right
And when we are far apart Not talking for days,
It feels like pain increases every time
I miss you hoping you wont find someone else
I look into your green eyes and
Its like you can get lost in them
Your dark brown hair that I love so much
You opened up your heart to me
Knowing that I’m the only one in you see
You made me believe in true love like no one else could
A smile is always on my face when I’m with you
My heart races every time I see you in view
Tears come in my eyes when I have to say
The dreaded words Goodbye.

But I know someday I will say the words
And your pick me right up and hug me
Making it feel like time has stopped
I believe that day will come sooner then I think
And I know I’m starting to trust you more and more
So I guess they were right about true love waits
