Sanctuary
There is no place I’d rather be
Than beneath a waterfall
Ever-flowing sanctity
Within my shower stall
I sit alone
as water flows
To cleanse
My cluttered mind
There’s something about it
The seclusion
With my shower curtain closed
I am free from observance
I can be at peace with myself
My own personal sanctuary
As the water flows freely
Purify my troubled heart
O great life giving water
This therapy is temporary
For when the water turns like love
From comforting to cold
I must move on and face the world
Ready or not
Go I must
And buy
The world’s longest lasting water heater
Let me sit forever
Beneath my waterfall
If not for life
And it’s demands
There in my shower
I would sit
Solitary and at peace
With myself forever
Maybe I’ll leave it all behind
My life and my things
Go and find a waterfall
To call my own
With nobody else
And there I’ll be
And just be
The water flows as it will
In its eternal purity
