A woman with poise, and had dealt
She had character, one of a kind

Looking back
Falling back
Being caught by him
Making my heart break

This is what will always work
My laugh your smile…
But, at times…
I sleep in worry that I will wake up and you won’t be there…

I have wants and I have needs…
But sometimes I wonder what you think of me
How do you feel when I’m gone?
Or maybe you don’t even notice…

We would sit on my roof
Staring at the stars
We would laugh all through the night
I forgot the feeling of being free

Sitting in that chair phone to my ear
Sitting in that chair and it was all so clear
This was the end of everything pure
This was the beginning of my new fear

He was there right before
Before I fell to the floor
He was there when my heart was cold
And he took and made it warm
