Home.
It's where you live,
It's where you love,
It's where you take your first steps,
Where you have your first pets!
It's where you run when you're scared,
Cause you know someone cares!
I'll run my fingers along the wall as I roam,
Because I know I will miss my home!
To live is to laugh,
To live is to experience!
I have laughed my heart out,
And I shared It with you!
I've done everything I could dream to do!
I've done it through you!
Cause you helped me through!
That is why I love you!
I took my first steps in so many ways,
In the room where you sit,
Read my diary page!
I am scared!
Scared of losing who I am,
Because I became who I am right here where I stand!
When I would feel lost,
I'd sing your words and you'd call!
You'd call me found!
I used to wonder why you'd put me through this pain,
Now whenever I ask you I hear you say,
My dear child without it, Then how could you say,
Look at all that I've overcame!
You see when I am a guardian angel,
I'll look down on a child that feels just the same,
And to that child I will say,
Everything will be okay,
If I made it through,
Then so can you!
Don't hide from the world just to stay safe!
Don't hide in a dome,
My child, through pain you will find your way
Home!
Dear child I know, I know you are scared,
Dear child, Look up, you can see my tears,
When it rains, When the days,
Are stormy I say,
Go dance my dear child it's just one more day!
You can make it I swear,
The lord would never make something to painful to bare!
Dear child, Take my hand, I can pull you through,
Pull you home,
Home!
Dear child I know, You have no home,
Your parents are gone,
You've traveled so long,
When you reach the end,
The end of the road, I promise that you will be home!
Trust me dear child I know!
You're not lost you are found!
He is holding you now,
In the palm of his hands and he's leading you now,
Leading you down,
Down a road, called home,
The long road home,
Because he know,
Oh how he knows!
And because he knows,
He is leading you
Home!
