What Happened That Day. Poem by Odelana Rapheal

What Happened That Day.

What happened that day.

Hope you never forget our first meeting,
Beside apoka tree on the struggle land called future,
Where we had the first chance to play on phonetic french kissing and Greek singing,
What happened that broke us apart I remember my thought foreshore.

Do you remember the name of that bird that day?
I mean that lover bed that wished us long lasting relationship,
When you asked about my future, do you remember what I said that day?
Don't forget you said we are compatible...

I remember you said I'm the most handsome,
I never forget I replied you're the pretest,
But where did the sound come from?
That we're the sorrow lover, Wonderer of the heart...

It's certain, a river will never forget it springs,
So shall our day past will never crumble,
and our past best memories shall be preserve like OAU flowers,
For this misunderstanding Is but a subtle.
