So You Want To Know In A Jiffy

You would like to know in a jiffy
what i have learned eh?
To summarize the slopes and hills,
the gradients of green and gold
and tides of red and black, those
monstrous crashing waves that end
in ebbs and flows.

You would like to know in a jiffy.
Alas that is a shame.
That wouldn't do justice to those
wondrous tears
of sorrow and joy and hope.

But no fault of your own, no fault indeed,
for I too was once like you
who had not yet taken an arrow
to the heart and learned to take one's time.
I too was once like you
who wanted to know in a jiffy.
