The Legs

Whence since in the time of david
Your beauty had been vivid.
When I walk thro' the valley of death;
Dawn or dusk, no evil shall I fear.

You'd led me through thick and thin
Dropped me at the junction of grin
Abandoned you me at tears' feet
Left me, another day to meet.

Come quickly like a whirlwind
And move me away from behind
Cos' the said time draws nigh
And aim I everyday for high

Panic not, at the beauty of the road
Thro' it, will you travel till old
When death comes and does her peel
Then you will travel in peace, up hill

Lead me, off land of my pilgrims pride
Off land where my fathers had died
Through lands which are unknown to me
To lands where awaits me is peace
