Her Loss

I can't believe it took me this long to see
That the tears rolling down her cheek were because of me.
She likes to hide her emotions,
Thinking that hiding is the potion to all this commotion.
She thinks inflicting pain on herself will save her,
But really it's digging a grave for her,
She is good at hiding the scars on her wrist,
But the hate and pain inside her is growing like a cyst.
She doesn't want to be here anymore;
She is knocking on death's door.
She is done, she can't take it any more, the towel is on the floor,
She kneels down to pray, and doesn't know what to say,
'God if your real, and you know how I feel,
Please! I give you my life- take it, make it, shake it,
Do whatever you have to do to make my life heal.

It's ten years later now:
She has a husband and 5 kids. WOW!
Time flies when your having fun,
But too bad she forgot all that God had done.
Now things are happening to her son,
The doctors don't know what's wrong.
All they said is, 'I hope he's strong.'
He's getting worse and worse each day.
It's January now, they say he'll be gone by May.
Tears streaming from her eyes once again,
Her heart is broken, and this is something that no man can mend.

It's May now, any day now.
He could be gone forever.
Her heart is in a million pieces
It's been severed,
She sits by his bed all day, all night,
Holding his hand tight.
Tears are rolling down her cheeks harder than before.
The doctor now running through the door.
His heart is not beating.
He has no breath.
No one can save him; today is his death.
