Allison Wonderland Poems

Call me out babe, I think this city is burning
We’ve painted this town red the only way we know how
It’s a full moon midnight and our clocks are turning
But no force alive could stop us now
...

It starts out so simple
A lonely girl, a troubled boy
A caught glance, a vow exchanged
A friend and a lover all in one
...

As the sun sets in on this valley of Death
And the shadows creep so close
I will take your hand and light your way
Breathing out the winter air
...

The Age Of Reason

Call me out babe, I think this city is burning
We’ve painted this town red the only way we know how
It’s a full moon midnight and our clocks are turning
But no force alive could stop us now
Our gasoline souls keep the appetite zealous
And I’ve got a buzz in my head
That could make the hive mind jealous
I couldn’t hear a word you said
But I knew the sensation:
The vital click in my mind,
Of a riotous idea’s penetration
It’s time again to find
New poison to purge from the blood of the system
Another town for our hearts to burn down
Fueled by the love for a greater wisdom
Philosophy’s struck the match and all opposed are gonna drown
Then take the rest back from an intellectual eclipse
Bring us the sheep and we shall be their herder
‘Cause we were plotting the apocalypse
While they were taking a stab at murder
