Anastasia Albanese Biography

I'm a 14 year old vegetarian girl, who has already gone through more terrible experiences than a lot of 20 year olds. My mom died when I was 3, I dont know my dad, and i have a bigger risk of getting he 2nd deadliest form of cancer than most people. I tried suicide, and i'm still alive, thankfully. I have a boyfriend, and he's all i could ever ask for. I write poems because its the only way i can really communicate my feelings to other people.)

The Old Me.

The old me is dead,
the new me alive.
But thats all in my head,
for when I'm alone,
the old me tries to come back.
Scratching and Clawing,
Silently attacking my heart
and soul.

I know I must stay strong,
I know I must be fearless.
But how do I do that,
when there is nothing to
hold me up?

I may be young,
I may be strong,
but will anyone still care
to ask if i am hurt?
Strength only lasts so long,
until my defence drops
and i'm nothing but a
helpless girl.

The old me will not,
Can not, Shall not
Come back, as much
as she may try,
I dont want to die.
Not now not tomorrow,
not ever. I'm a new girl,
I'm an alive girl.
