Andromeda Carefoot Poems

Bide the Wiccan Law ye must, in Perfect Love and Perfect Trust.
Live and let live - fairly take and fairly give.
Cast the Circle thrice about to keep all evil spirits out.
To bind the spell every time, let the spell be spake in rhyme.
...

She dances the moon with power and grace
Amidst the hills and trees, in her sacred space
A sky-clad weaver moving swiftly between realms
There in the leaves ….what do you see?
...

Circle of stones
A template that is
A temple
and what within?
...

A FLOWER’S TEARS

A taverna, back of nowhere
strong spirit to ease the soul
...

October 31st marks the end of the old year and the beginning of a new one:

SAMHAIN – Night Falls

DREAMTIME ~ AWAKENING

‘A lightness, soundless, formless plenum, filled with both the primeval consciousness that is the womb of all mind and spirit in the cosmos with the fluctuating energy out of which all comes to exist in space and in time. There is a no-thing in this cosmic fullness and yet there is everything in potential. All that was, is and will be is here in formless, soundless, lightless, quiescent motion.

WHIRLING WITHIN THE STONES

Enter the circle sky clad
Look at each stone in turn

For Lorna

Gone, gone
gone beyond
...

Rustling leaves in autumn’s breeze
Crunching beneath my trod
Creaking branches above
Ancestral voices heard
...

The past pushing against me from below,
the herds of animals and the vegetation,
the people and their dwelling places,
the winds and the floods,
...

So, in emptiness, there is no body,
no feeling, no thought,
no will, no consciousness.
There are no eyes, no ears,
...

From the beginning
there is nothing to be sought.
Already within
is the complete solution.
...

...nothing (get it?)

Well, maybe not.
...

When you look inside yourself for a long time,
you realize that there's nothing there.
How can you want something for that nothing?
...

I have studied my metamorphosis through and through,
but I have still not learned to understand the nature of the fire
that has seared my soul and reduced it to ashes.

Wow! Well Wicca Me!

Bide the Wiccan Law ye must, in Perfect Love and Perfect Trust.
Live and let live - fairly take and fairly give.
Cast the Circle thrice about to keep all evil spirits out.
To bind the spell every time, let the spell be spake in rhyme.
Soft of eye and light of touch - speak little, listen much.
Deosil go by waxing moon - dance and sing the Witches Rune.
Widdershins by when the moon doth wane and the werewolf howls by the dread wolfsbane.
When the Lady's Moon is new, kiss the hand to her times two.
When the Moon rides at her peak, then your heart's desire seek.
Heed the North Wind's might gale - lock the door and dropp the sail.
When the wind comes from the South, love will kiss thee on the mouth.
When the wind blows from the East, expect the new and set the feast.
When the West wind blows o'er thee, departed spirits restless be.
Nine woods in the cauldron go - burn them quick and burn them slow.
Elder be ye Lady's tree - harm it not or cursed ye'll be.
When the Wheel begins to turn, let the Beltane fires burn.
When the Wheel has turned to Yule, light the Log and let Pan rule.
Heed ye flower, bush and tree - by the Lady, Blessed Be.
Where the rippling waters go, cast a stone and truth ye'll know.
When ye have need, harken not to other's greed.
With the Fool no season spend, nor be counted as his friend.
Merry Meet and Merry Part - bright the cheeks and warm the heart.
Mind the Threefold Law ye should - three times bad and three times good.
When misfortune is anow, wear the Blue Star on thy brow.
True in love ever be, unless thy lover's false to thee.
Eight words the Wiccan Rede fulfill; and ye harm none, do what ye will.
