Does the sun rise on me
every day I do not feel complete?
Do I breath the breath of life
even when my heart skips a beat?

What can I view remotely
but simple places and things?
Will I ever be able to see
the blessings that life brings?

The deep blue of the evening sky,
that brings my thoughts to places high
while basic music keeps me low,
leaves me with just one place to go:

Can I tell a new-found beauty
that she is unique
or would this be a stretch of truth-
a white lie, so to speak?

If I reflect upon the bitterness
a lover left with me
I find that disappointed lust
is all that I can see,
...

The thickening smoke that clouds the mind
from all reality
opens the gates of all the hidden things
we cannot see.
...

I see the jungle we live in
has yet to be explored
with remarkably fresh eyes
that have yet to be implored.
...

When I close my eyes I see the angel of my dreams
standing by my side and yet so far away she seems.
Why she shows herself to me is anything but clear.
My only hope is that our time will soon be drawing near.

Lovers want to hate, it seems,
and skeptics, to believe,
while earthbound seedlings need to fly
in ways they can't conceive,

I just can't catch a moving train
to get me anywhere,
as though they've made it hard to do
unless you pay a fare.
