Anna Bartlett Warner Poems

Jesus loves me! This I know,
for the Bible tells me so.
little ones to him belong;
they are weak, but he is strong.
...

We would see Jesus; for the shadows lengthen
Across this little landscape of our life;
We would see Jesus, our weak faith to strengthen
...

One more day’s work for Jesus,
One less of life for me!
But Heav’n is nearer, and Christ is clearer
Than yesterday, to me.

Jesus Loves Me

Jesus loves me! This I know,
for the Bible tells me so.
little ones to him belong;
they are weak, but he is strong.

Refrain:

Yes, Jesus loves me!
Yes, Jesus loves me!
Yes, Jesus loves me!
The Bible tells me so.

Jesus loves me! he who died
heaven's gate to open wide;
he will wash away my sin,
let his little child come in.

Gentle Jesus, with me stay
close beside me all the way;
when at last I come to die
take me home with thee on high.
