Ashutosh Pandey Poems

Starry eyes shining bright, like the soft-lit moon on a cloudless night,
I pray on the stars and all of heaven, that I be with her, tonight.
Her graceful walk, her radiant skin, her head of gold, that pulls me in,
Her brown eyes, her charming grin, her pure heart, I want to win.
...

Now, what to say when I've said it all,
What to do when I've heard it all.
What to see when I've seen you smile,
I wanted to be with you...for a while.
...

If you are, then I am.
If you are not, nor am I.
If you breathe, I do too.
If you stop, I will die.

Starry Eyes

Starry eyes shining bright, like the soft-lit moon on a cloudless night,
I pray on the stars and all of heaven, that I be with her, tonight.
Her graceful walk, her radiant skin, her head of gold, that pulls me in,
Her brown eyes, her charming grin, her pure heart, I want to win.

She calls my name; my heart I try to keep tame,
A woman of her beauty puts the stars to shame.
She asked me how much I loved her, and I did not say a word.
The thought of defining my love to her, was much too absurd.
