A verbal battle,
the quick jabs,
and the slow poisons,
the power of the merest syllable,

a Despair,
a Hopelessness,
a lock,
with no Key in sight,

a door,
locked and bolted,
upon admission,
a key proffered,
...

an emptiness,
the nothing,
now tangible,
as he reaches out,

Mind like a circus
Soul like a jamboree
