A carousel of thoughts trot through my regretting mind
I think back to the times of ease and leisure
Are they forgotten
Or is their remembrance unwanted?
...
What is time but to a vampire?
It's like bottled milk
With years to expire
...
I see him daily
He doesn't follow
He only stares
But that is pain enough
...
Bohemian darkness
Fills my speckled mind
As I make
An exotic find
...
I live to hear my father sing
People come
Far and wide
Gathering like anchovies in a can
...
Barbie and Ken forever
Until Barbie's head falls off along with Ken's left arm
Milk and cookies forever
...
Isn't finding out half the joy?)
Regrets
A carousel of thoughts trot through my regretting mind
I think back to the times of ease and leisure
Are they forgotten
Or is their remembrance unwanted?
For the memories are too shallow to be retold
Could the truth
That once fulfilled our souls
Return to haunt us
Even after the immortal lives have passed?
How could the guardian
The mother of these thoughts
Let them slip away
Like tears from the onlooking eye?
Didn't she realize
During her vanity and distracting affairs
That she was abandoning
Something of so much more value?
Though the time has passed
And the faults have been made
The only question which lies unanswered
And forever will:
Does she regret?
i love your writing style. it's very original but yet still amazing. My favorite was between Bohemian Darkness and Hold Your Secret. Truely amazing work. Nice job.
